Pixton is a fun web 2.0 tool where your students create their own avatars, then comics with classmates. As a teacher you create an account, then define your classes. By clicking on the link you have created for your class, your students can log in to Pixton as you define it, either with their username, Microsoft or Google account. Each of the students first creates their own avatars. As they create their avatars, your class caricature begins to form, as shown in the picture next door. Then the screen opens where students can prepare comics. Students can add their own classmates as comic characters. In the free part of the application you can work with limited background and graphics. However, if you switch to a paid account, a very rich visual plugin is waiting for you. This application can be applied by giving different subjects to students in different courses. You can also make creative comics by giving another topic specific to your own lesson. You can hang your class cartoon on your class wall, or use it as a cover page for any print you create as a class.
